Oana has 5 years of volunteering experience in AIESEC Romania and 2 years of international experience in the marketing and sales division for HP Services in France and Switzerland. She was a financial markets trader for 4 years in Citibank Romania. She left and returned to Romania to join those who build and not expect anything for granted, who create value before asking for something in return, who fight for changing a status quo. Finding the like-minded partners they co-founded roPot (www.ropot.ro), with the common ambition to create a platform for both business and social-minded individuals, that starting with 2010 is developing social enterprises and initiatives in Romania by facilitating the interaction of diverse stakeholders and providing a start-up infrastructure. When they started roPot they looked in-depth at the ingredients necessary to create a strong social innovation community aiming to create a positive effect in the Romanian landscape. They focused on the community building, on cross-industry sustainability projects, corporate and NGO programs, prototyped their ideas and they are now ready to set up the space where all these will be hosted – The HUB Bucharest. Her hobbies and interests: social innovation, literature and history, travelling & discovering new cultures, photography & art, skiing.
