Iulian holds a BA in Economic Studies from the Al. I Cuza University of Iași and has experience in working for both private companies and non-profit organizations. Since 2009, when he started the social enterprise Atelierul de Pânză for the ViitorPlus Association, he has devoted his career to social economy. From then on he managed the organizations until 2012, during which time the social enterprise employed 12 people in difficulty, avoided hundreds of thousands of plastic bags being consumed and received several national and international awards. At that time, the social business came to be one of few financially sustainable social enterprises in Romania. Since then he has constructed two programs for social enterprises in rural areas, under the employment of the Soros Foundation in Romania, and has designed and delivered trainings on social entrepreneurship with NESsT, KCMC and the Soros Foundation. Iulian is now a freelance consultant for social enterprises and helps develop the social economy legal framework.
