Ana Catauta is a young professional with significant experience in the field of political communication, public policy programs, public relations and public communication for the last eight years. In 2009, Ana was part of the coordinating team during the presidential campaign of Mircea Geoana. Since October 2013, Ana is the CEO of New Machiavelli Communications Company, focusing on political and corporate communication. In this capacity, she coordinated the domestic and international PR and strategic communication for the Bucharest Forum. Moreover, she is Executive director at the National Development Committee and founding member of the Social Progress Institute, a progressive Romanian debate platform, partner with Social Europe Journal and the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung. In 2014, as local consultant of the World Bank, Ana Catauta contributed to the creation and implementation of the Gateway Project, a public-private governmental initiative, whose purpose is to develop practical economic and commercial projects for the development of Romania’s economy. Moreover, Ana is in charge of the communication activities for the Gateway Project. From December 2011 to September 2013, she activated as PR and Public communication director for a private company, Reveal Marketing Research. Moreover, for two years, between January 2010 and November 2011, she served as chief of staff and Policy Unit coordinator for the President of the Romanian Senate, for two years as advisor on communication issues and communication and media advisor for the President of the Social Democratic Party in Romania, between 2006 and 2010.
