John M. Florescu

Born in Boston (USA), Mr. Florescu has had a 30-year career as a television producer and media entrepreneur. Studying History at Boston College (Massachusetts) and at Campion Hall, Oxford, he descends from one of Romania’s oldest families. His father, Professor Radu Florescu was the world’s leading authority on Vlad Tepes, and his namesake ancestor, General Ion Florescu, was twice Prime Minister of Romania.
With his two brothers Nicholas and Radu, he launched Centrade USA, the holding company for four media companies operating across the Balkans and in the USA. Previously, Mr. Florescu ran from Los Angeles the U.S. television production company of the late Sir David Frost. As such, he has produced more than 150 programs across the world including interviews with five U.S. Presidents and several world leaders. In 2016, he produced “The King Who Tricked Hitler” on HRH King Michael which ran in 30 countries. Prior to the inauguration of Donald Trump, Mr. Florescu produced, "Trump: What He Means to Europe." Previously, in 1982, he served as Director of Communications for the Democratic National Committee. On October 24, 2016, Mr. Florescu was awarded the rank at Cavalier by King Michael.
Mr. Florescu has two boys and currently divides his time between New York and Bucharest.
