Alexandru Lupea is a senior audit partner and Strategic Growth Markets leader for the Ernst & Young Romania. He is also the partner in charge of the regional offices of the firm. Alexandru has worked for professional services firms for over twenty years and has served local and multinational clients in Romania, Russia, Moldova, Serbia, Montenegro and Ukraine. He is specialised in financial audit, corporate governance services, financial due diligence, dispute analysis and investigation services. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Energy Studies of the Bucharest Polytechnic Institute (1991), of the Faculty of Commerce of the Academy of Economic Sciences (1999) and of the TRIUM Global Executive MBA program (2010); he is also a fellow of the UK Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (ACCA) since 1998, a member of the Romanian Chamber of Financial Auditors (CAFR) and the Romanian Chamber of Expert Accountants (CECCAR). He is interested in history, finance and globalization; currently he also serves as a non-executive director of the Ion Ratiu Center for Democracy, which promotes “democracy as a way of life”.
