VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITY AT BUCHAREST FORUM 2017 AND YOUNG STRATEGIC LEADERS FORUM 2017

We are currently accepting applications for volunteering for the largest strategic international event in Romania, Bucharest Forum 2017: Center and Periphery – Bridging the Divide, taking place on October 4-6, 2017. This is the 6th edition of Bucharest Forum, organized by the Aspen Institute Romania and the German Marshall Fund of the United States in partnership with the Government of Romania, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of National Defence.

For this year’s edition of the Forum, the agenda is structured around an overarching theme, “Center and Periphery – Bridging the Divide”, at critical times for the region and Europe, and the discussion will focus on its economic, financial and societal implications.   

Alongside the Bucharest Forum, on October 4, Aspen Institute Romania and the German Marshall Fund of the United States are organizing the Young Strategic Leaders Forum. The Young Strategic Leaders Forum aims to create a space of discussion and a work group for young professionals of the Aspen and GMF fellows and alumni community that are committed to generate innovative and up-to-date analysis, and to contribute with groundbreaking perspectives and strategies in areas like foreign affairs, international relations, global economics and international public policy.

Please be advised that, if selected, you will also need to attend short informative sessions on the days prior to the event.

Work during the volunteering program would involve welcoming guests, assisting with organizing materials for the event, registration of onsite attendees, providing useful information to guests, tracking session participation, logistical support.   

Requirements:
-          excellent command of English;   
-          ability to perform well in a multicultural environment;   
-          excellent time management skills;   
-          previous experience in event and conference organizing.
